Recently, I spent a week in the gorgeous city of Hobart, Tasmania, soaking up the serenity.
I explored the historical sites, read pretty much every plaque at every museum, drank coffee and ate like it was going out of fashion, and missed my kids a whole bunch. (Life gets super quiet when the kids aren’t around anymore! Wonderful but weird.)
Aaaannd I kinda sorta accidentally wrote an entire novella in two days, which is now with a copy editor (the final stage of professional editing). The words are in their final stage of transformation.
But what about the pretty stuff? The internal layout? The cover?
I am learning how to beautifully format each page and also learning how to create wrap-around covers that will work for a print book version. It really all is happening right now- new programs and processes, and a lot of creative fun to be had!
What’s the novella about?
It’s an introduction. The first glimpse for readers into the town of Moonshine, where my romcom series is set. Moonshine is a fictional city, based on my 20ish years of living in rural Australian towns. The novella shows the heart and humour of small communities, amidst a love story with a slight mystery.
I have decided to make this novella permanently free as an ebook. Yup, perma-free.
What about the series?
Each book is a stand-alone romance novel. An interconnected tale of people and places, all set in Moonshine. I’m editing one, started another, and have about 3 more planned because that’s how invested I am.
So when is all this happening?
I will keep everyone updated on each individual book’s progress, but for now, if you have any questions drop a comment below and I’ll reply.
Meet you in Moonshine soon, my friends!
thats great post thanks
